December 12, 2006 Board Meeting Agenda Item #21 Title APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #7010 FOR PORCELAIN, CERAMIC AND QUARRY TILE - INSTALLATION AND REPAIRS Description Bids to provide 'Porcelain, Ceramic and Quarry Tile - Installation and Repairs' were received from four vendors on November 28, 2006.  The bid of Spectra Contract Flooring was the best low bid meeting the advertised specifications.  The bid of Aldrich Rug Interiors, Inc. was non-responsive to bidding the price of tile.  This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods.  The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budget allocated to the Facilities Services Department. Recommendation That the bid of Spectra Contract Flooring, to provide 'Porcelain, Ceramic and Quarry Tile - Installation and Repairs' in an amount not to exceed $250,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
